Well babes, my weekend project is re-organizing my design room, which was the Christmas room until yesterday, when I wrapped our silver tree in twine and lovingly crammed it back in closet. The photo below is after a few hours of moving furniture, folding trims, and going vertical with a shelf on top of my table.
That’s not the whole room, but that’s the most important corner. It’s a cozy place to page through my big beautiful Rajasthan book and weave ideas into sketches into patterns on a snowy afternoon.
Before I get going on my weekend to-do list, this room included, I wanted to share this quote with you by Finnish art nouveau architect Eliel Saarinen, because I think it’s awesome: ”Always design a thing by considering it in its next larger context – a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in an environment, an environment in a city plan.”
Happy Saturday!
P.S. My third installation of ‘Food meets Fashion’ is live on the CityEats blog, featuring fashion + lifestyle influencer Marcus Troy of The Marcus Troy Experience.
